The vibrating tongue call is a wood surface friction call that is run just like a pot call, you chalk the wood surface and use a striker to operate it, it has a 3 sided cut out tongue that you play on, and about 5" long, 2" wide, and an 1" deep. They are a simple, plain call, and discribed as a working man's or mountain man's call. The NWTF has challenged all call makers to test your woodworking skills and see what you can come up with?
I've never made a vibrating tongue call before, but have made a few wood surface pot calls, so I may have to give this challenge a try?
