Oak?

Dewey

:D We got us a WINNER!!! :D

This is the first time I've used a Curly Red Oak for a pot. This call has a very unique sound in it, it has a higher pitched start with a deeper raspy roll over, the chatter in the rasp is very fast in the purrs, the cutts are sharp and clean, and the kee kees have a high and whinny whistle. The color is a golden yellowish color, the curls are white, and the grain in it is dark brown speckled, almost a 3D look.
Congrats dewey :P , good guess.

As the great Ric Flair would say "Wooooooooooooo!!!!!". I can add this beauty to the one I got from Scott last year and the turkeys will be lining up to eat some lead.

Thanks for offering up this beauty Scott!

Congrats Dewey. I would have guessed oak too. Ric Flair would claim that you needed to be stylin' & profilin' first, then he'd lay a few WOOOOOO WOOOOooos on you.

Ahhh you are a fan of Ric Flair? Awesome! As Ric Flair would say "to be the man you have got to beat the man...wooooooooooo!"

He is from your neck of the woods isn't he Jim?

Oh man, Dewey already won before I got here. The wood is red oak
I handle a lot of red oak out of my forest and know that grain well so perhaps it wouldn't have been fair for me to answer. ;)
Congratulations, hope you call in many a turkey with that beautiful call.

charlie
