I have some trumpet "training" scheduled for opening week in MD this year.  Hope it gets me to the next level like it did for you.

Im content with my actual sound...its the play on command I cant do yet...I also cant switch from a trumpet to a wingbone without some warm up on either...

Trying a few soft clucks at first should get you going.
 
Of course, you could empty the vest and leave all the other calls in the truck....I would imagine suction calls would quickly become second nature by noon time...
