Box calls

Postby BKip » April 28th, 2013, 5:45 pm

I only started hunting turkey a couple of years ago. I am getting better with my box call and the plain yelp. Are there any videos or web sites that show how to make the other vocalizations with a box call? Also, theist button boxes, are they worth picking up? Thanks.

I can't get the "button" box to sound right. IMO you would be better off putting effort into a mouth call for close calling.

youtube should have a bunch of videos on using box calls. The companies website might offer help , say if you have a quaker boy call... etc.. Pick up one of those button boxes and play around with it.Never know the birds may like it and if you're not that good at or don't have mouth calls yet it'll help for close calling.

Good luck

I wouldn't leave the house without my push button call!!!!
I don't have one like this but they certainly have a place in my vest.
