DA'GUMMIT ,
as many of you know from the pics and general chatter , i've made a nice wingbone call. now i don't want to sound like a big braggar ,,,but i've learned to WEAR it hanging from my neck pretty good . CALLING ? sounds more like a turkey and coyote fight , with the turkey stickin' his hooks in the dogs eye . add a little noise from a semi- clogged drain and there you have it . but i ain't givin' up ,,,and i'll use it in the woods at least once this spring ,,,if for nothin' more than to make 'em SHOCK ! YOU'D BE SHOCKED TOO , if you could hear some of the noises i can make with consistent irregularity .

just finished a ''switch cane yelper ''. makes some good yelps . has a little different sound than the wingbone . think i'll attach it to the ''grunt-doc lanyard'' with the bone and try 'em both come season. it will definately take me a long time to master . finally catching on to T DOGs advice ,,,i been trying too hard . little x little ,,,maybe !

Is that you running the trumpet on that sound file?

You may be still learning, Steve, but you are already dangerous.

I know most everyone thinks the trumpet as being used for "soft talk" but Im an aggressive caller on pretty much every call...I still cant "play on command" but am getting closer to just picking it up and playing it...I will be toting the trumpet and 2 wingbones this year occasionaly...
