I went out to a good spot on Friday morning to see if I could get some video and audio of the big flock out in the field. When I got there I saw them heading out so I went around and got set up in the woods on the field edge. I wanted to video them as they crossed the field. To my surprise the boss hen turned and followed the bush line walking right past me and the flock following. I stopped counting after 120 and think there was easily 200 birds in the flock.I had turkeys all around me and heard just about every call imaginable. I have a lot more video but it would be too long. Also after my battery went dead 5 toms began to chase each other and ran straight at me stopping about 10 feet in front of me. They were whining and fight purring like crazy. I also saw one huge tom that was strutting and had huge hooks but almost no beard. I know if see a big tom with almost no beard this year I am shooting. The video isn't that great but the audio is worth it. Hope you enjoy.`

Wow. I've never seen that many birds together before! We've still got a lot of birds but the coyotes have really thinned them out around here.

A vid like that is a great call learning vid. You got to hear a bunch of different sounding birds and how they sound. The majority of the birds had that old school sound, deeper raspy sound, but there were quite a few young high pitched sounds of young birds, and the jakes and gobblers which are very easy to pick out. That vid will help you learn a lot of different calls for both spring and fall seasons, a great audio vid to help teach you the correct cadence of calling also. You were lucky to get all the birds come by you to get that vid, job well done .
