Pinewood Derby Call

Postby Matt Raymond » January 13th, 2013, 2:46 pm

Hey all, check out my son's (11 years old) Pinewood Derby Car for 2013. We are both proud of how it came out. We were both trying to think of ideas for this years car design, and came up with this together. We designed it as a combination of a Lynch Box and a Primo's Wet Box. It actually works but only squeaks out a note on one side. I wonder how many scouts or their parents will know what it is ? !

Very original idea. I don't believe too many in our troop would recognize it. Good luck in the race.

That is pretty neat! I have 3 grandsons and over the past 2 years have been fortunate enough to build box calls, from kits, with all 3 of them. They have not yet gotten into the Pinewood Derby races but I well remember helping to build those cars with my sons and then just a few years ago with a crop of RAs at church. Good fun.

Thanks,
Clark

That's a real nice racer. Hope he does well with it. No matter what, that is a real keepsake.
