and a wake up call!! I can't believe it's sooo close. The last day of deer season, we were putting our gear on at the truck and I said, "It sounds like turkey season." My uncle laughed at me. As we walked the road to where we we were hunting, a crow sounded off and struck a gobbler not 75 yards from us!! We hit the dirt. That bird gobbled about 8-10 more times!! I just hope he was letting us know what's coming this spring!!

60 days and a wake up until the March 15th South Carolina opener!! I'm dreaming about em!!!

Funny, My Brother in Law, (MY constant hunting buddy) and I were on a week long Elk trip at the beginnning fo December. We got skunked again, it was still in the high 60s midday so they were up high. Were loading the trucks to come back to Albuquerque and look at each other and at the same time say, "Well time to start planning our Turkey season" the guys who went with us just started laughing. Were already planning scouting trips for the weekend after the Big game.
