Scratcher and tube

Postby Dixie Belle » December 11th, 2012, 5:57 pm

Posted a pic of these over in the Christmas exchange thread, thought I would post them over here too. ;)
Red Cedar Scratcher with a variety of strikers of different woods and a 2 3/4" tube made from River Birch.
Glued up a blank to use for a new tube today, if I can get the thing turned without blowing the thing out on the lathe I'll post it when its done. Already blown out one like it this week. Hate it when a chisel slips.

They look very nice Ted and Im sure they sound just as good as the ones I got last year.

I've got one of your scratchers just like that one, it will sing turkey for sure. :)

What I liked about it was the ease of play, it will produce high and deep pitched yelps, clucks and cutts, you can purr and kee kee on it very easy, a great little scratcher. ;)
