Enter the Online Grand Slam Turkey Call Competition

Turkey & Turkey Hunting is presenting the first Online Grand Slam Turkey Call Competition, which is open to any turkey-call makers. The competition begins March 10, 2009 and ends June 15, 2009.

The contest has four categories: working box, working friction, decorative box and decorative friction. Working calls must be sent to our office, where they will be recorded and judged on sound quality. Decorative calls will be judged by photos and descriptions submitted on-line. You can enter work in any category, and there's no limit to the number of calls you can submit.

All entries are $30.

The grand-prize winner in each category will be featured in an article in our Winter 2009 issue, which will provide significant exposure for their work. Also, grand-prize winners will receive a framed, personalized custom Turkey & Turkey Hunting cover and a five-year subscription to the magazine (a $64.95 value).

Second-place winners will receive a three-year subscription ($39.95 value), and third-place contestants will receive a one-year subscription ($16.95 value). We'll also select some honorable-mention winners to be named in the Winter issue. Each mention will include a small photo of the winning call, and all entrants will be listed on-line in our e-mail newsletter.

The competition is open to any call-makers, and only original calls conceived and created by the entrant will be considered. Only box and pot-and-peg calls, please. No diaphragms, trumpets, wingbones or suction
yelpers. Scratch boxes will be allowed in the box-call category.
