ARIZONA GOULDS TAG

Postby gouldshunter » November 22nd, 2012, 10:52 am

Good day to find out my hunting partner drew a coveted Gould's turkey tag in Arizona, so I will be helping hunt a Gould's turkey this spring 2013. It took him four years to get the tag but also proved to me my method of getting a tag earlier then most works. I got a tag two years ago and it took me nine years to get a tag. 161 days to the hunt.

Congratulation to you buddy and good luck on the hunt. If you can take lots of pictures and post them along with a hunting recap so the rest of us can be jealous of you guys that would be great.

How many tags are available for 35A? Good luck to both of you on your hunts.

Dewey,

There are two different hunts in unit 35A, each has 5 tags, one that starts April 26th through May 2nd and the second one starts May 3rd through May 23rd, however after May 9th the first group of hunters can hunt again from the 10th through the 23rd.

This is typical for most turkey hunting units in Arizona the number of tags of course varies. Merriam's typically have a 100-300 tags for each hunit in their units.
