Hi i shot my first turkey and i need some recipes to help with the fact that meat is so so dry. What can be done so that the meat is not so dry.

Check the recipe section just above all the States. You should be able to marinade it in what ever you like over night.

I have always taken the breast meat and cut it into chunks, (like mcChicken) roll it in seasoned flour, egg wash and flour again and deep fry it at 350 degrees. Always seems to be moist. The legs I quarter and put in a crock pot with seasoning and cook for about 10 hours. Meat will fall off the bone and be real tender. Good luck

i posted a recipe a while back and i can give it to you ...

1 turkey breast ... sliced/cubed
4 cans of cream of mushroom soup
6oz sour cream
small jar dried chipped beef
4 thick slices of bacon
2 heaping tblsp ap flour

in the crock pot for 8 hours on low ...
serve over some fettuccine noodles with a veggie...


simple .. wonderful ... and spoiling

this works well with chicken .. wild turkey .. sirloin tips .. and deer loin chops
