The New A5s are Being Shipped Now.

Postby allaboutshooting » August 31st, 2012, 12:49 pm

I received the following from the folks at Browning this morning.

"A5s are shipping now. If you ordered an A5 from your dealer a few months ago, you should expect a call soon. Or, better yet, call your dealer right now. Because the hunting seasons are upon us and we know lots of you have been very anxious to get your hands wrapped around a new A5 and bring down some birds."

Thanks,
Clark

Hey Clark, how has the A5 test out?
Is it turkey season yet?

I have not shot one of the production guns but from what I've heard from folks who have shot them, they like them a lot. It's quite different from the original A-5 in just about every way. The only real similarity is the profile, the "hump back" design. It will also be interesting to see how the new choke tube system is accepted. It's a unique design that seems to make a lot of sense but it will probably be a while before turkey chokes are widely available for it.

Thanks,
Clark
