24 Days

It's just 24 days until the Illinois Fall Gun Turkey season begins. Hopefully, the mosquito population will be gone by then and some of the leaves will be off the trees. Right now it's almost unbearable in the woods or any place in the shade because of the mosquitoes. Since we have active cases of West Nile virus here, it's not just an aggravation but a real health hazard.

I think I'm ready, except for patterning on a real cool morning. I missed that window of opportunity but I'm sure I'll be able to get that in before the season.

We only have 8 days here so I need to be ready from the get go.

good luck to you when you get out, our gun season opens about the same time [ 26th ? ], can't wait, bow hunting monday, looking forward to that as well, it really is a great time of year....

Looking forward to getting out in 3 weeks. There is no better way to spend a fall morning than hunting turkeys.

22 days!!
headin out this afternoon to scout/bowhunt in my best turkey spot here in WC ILL.
wouldnt mind stickin one with an arrow if i get the chance :D
