Soft Touch

Completed this one yesterday. This one is a 3 1/2" laminate pot with a crystal surface and a laminated birch striker. I'm really liking this pot, because you can get 3 different birds out of it, a young bird sound an older hen sound and the deep gobbler sounds, in the clucks and purrs, without changing anything. The kee kees are that soft mellow sound that won't spook birds. The volume that the crystal produces allows you to call to birds from 25 yards or reach out and work birds at 300 yards. It also allows to you do the fighting purrs with 2 different sounds coming off the same call with the same striker, so you don't need to use two different strikers or calls to do your fighting purrs.

I posted a sound file for this call to help show the different tones in it. I'm only about a foot away from the mic so it's a bit loud, and with it being a new call surface it need a bit more conditioning .

The call charlie is testing is the first one of these I've let out the door, he's field testing it to see how well it performs on these birds. So far so good .
