Woooo-eeee! that is one magic gobbler! Congrats, young man! I hope you are able to make it official - the bird deserves it!

It's Fathers Day. We have sent in all the information to the NWTF and are awaiting for the response from them on the official scoring and rank. We also have taken the bird to the taxidermist to get the full body mount. My son has picked out the pose and we found the base material but we are looking for ideas for the landscape for the mount. This hunting trip was especially great for me, I was sitting right next to Matt when he shot this bird.

Hope it ends up in the top ten Chuck.
I've seen a lot mounted on a limb and quite a few done on the ground. I guess it depends on where you want to put it when it's done? It would look great standing on plowed ground with corn stubble sticking out, just like where he shot it?

Matt picked a full strut pose with a barn board base. (A little more rustic look.)

Whenever you get done with the taxidermist I am sure everyone on here would love to see the finished mount. Happy Father's Day to all dads out there. My Father's day was awesome.
