Glad to see you guys on here.
Have a question for each. What do each of you remember was a turning point in your early years that made you feel confident as a turkey hunter?
When I started I was always second guessing everything I did. It was should I call, what call to make and if I should have not made that last call for example. The turning point for me was when I started shooting Video. When I did not have a gun in my hand and was filming another experienced hunter, I was able to see the hunt from a different perspective and kinda connected some dots. One in particular was me taking shots out of fear the turkey was going to see me or thought he had. I was taking long shots I should not have ( wish I had heavy shot back then..lol ) . With the camera in my hand I learned when the turkey lifted his head up to look for that calling, it was not that he saw me or about to bust me. He was just looking and would soon ( which seemed forever ) drop down and continue coming forward.
