Well tomorrow is Opening Day for me! Got the crossbow all sighted in and the Deke's are ready to go as well as the calls!

Opening Day was pretty crappy weather....I work nights and went out at 8 am and made some calls. I hunt right behind my house. No answers so I went to bed. Woke up at 3pm to pouring rain so I slept more. Tomorrow will be good weather so ill be out there morning and evening...

Still at it. 2nd Time I had 5 Toms and Hens in the field across the road this morning. Toms were struttin'. Tried to call them across the road and couldn't. The farmer is spraying weed killer today so maybe the farming activity will bring them my way. My Food plot is all planted and growing and ready for Turkeys and my Longbeard... 8-)

Well 4 more days but I'm not too optimistic. Haven't seen even a hen while hunting this year. weird year for sure! :cry:
