A cutting sequence used with yelps is an aggressive call, an excited hen will use it to tell gobblers she's ready and waiting and wants attention now. In the Calling section here is the video's of the GNCC, the friction vid has a cutting call in it and you can hear and see the stage callers and the ways they run the call. It makes no difference if your in the field or on stage, your cutting sequence needs to be real. Your pauses in your cutts are very important, don't just run a machinegun style cutting sequence with 6/10 cutts, slow your cutts down to 1-3-5-2 in a sequence and throw in a few fast yelps in between them to give it a more real sounding sequence.
