I enjoyed greatly reading both your posts of fall calling & your winter hunting tales.  It's obvious that you spend a good deal of time studying your quarry, & you tell a good tale.  You've got me hooked on how good a turkey spot SW Wisconsin is.


Late last fall my wife & I spent a few days there for the first time.  Not turkey hunting unfortunately, just sightseeing.  Gorgeous hills & valleys.  If I were a turkey, that's where I'd spend my days.


So this year I've put in for my normal zone 2 slot requests, but in the leftover permit draw I intend to pick up a zone 1 permit or two.  Really looking forward to turkey hunting somewhere in that beautiful area.  Thanks for the push.
