From Richmond, VA... I'll be doing most of my VA hunting out of WMAs especially Chickahominy.

welcome aboard bantamax, been checking this thread since i joined in feb., you're the first va. hunter to check in [ this year ], maybe it'll pick up now that season is about to start, i'm out in goochland, hunt goochland & cumberland, haven't been  out yet to listen, but have seen some strutters in fields while on the road, hope to get out next week.....if the weather is right !!

I just started going out to listen last Friday. I've been out three mornings so far. The first one I heard one gobbler. The second I didn't hear any, but a thunderstorm was rolling in just about daybreak. The third morning I heard two gobblers in a different location than the other two mornings. So I know they're out there and they're gobblin'.

I went out again this morning and they were hot!  I heard six different gobblers from one spot.  I think I know where I am gonna setup opening day....
