Middle Tn Kids Hunting For A Cure...benefit turkey hunt..

Postby Tntrkyhntr » January 18th, 2009, 3:01 pm

is scheduled for March The 20th and 21st.  We are giving the first 50 kids the chance to turkey hunt here in Middle Tennessee.  We are still looking for volunteers, camera crews, guides, and sponsors for this event.  Friday the 20th will be a meet and greet event, allowing all hunting parties the chance to get familiar with each other, and make arrangements for the morning hunt on Saturday.  After the hunt we will be having contests for the best birds in 3 different catagories-longest spurs, longest beard, and best overall score. (NWTF Rules)  Any hunter that does not get signed up will still be eligable for the contest through ticket sales, which also allows them the chance for door prizes that evening.  We will allow unsuccessful morning hunters the chance to try again that afternoon, and then close out the evening with door prizes, an auction, and a concert, concluding with the award ceremony.  Please check out the web site @ midtnkidshuntingforacure.com to get registered, or to contact me on how to donate auction items, or become a sponsor.  Our purpose is to support cancer research facilities aimed at finding cures for kids with cancer or other childhood diseases.  With help from those of you with big hearts, and the same willingness to give back, this event will be a success.  Thanks for reading, help me get the word out!  Rick Taylor
