How do you create a video of a hunt?

Hey guys & gals,
 
I am interested in hopefully videoing my nephews first turkey hunt next April 17th and April 18th and I would like to be able to edit the information and add slides and other stuff to it but i do not know how to or what software to use.[8|]
 
Can someone please point me in the right direction?
