Heys guys I'm from Kentucky and thinking about coming down to hunt for a weekend. Your alls season opens a month before ours. Can you guys give me any ideas on where to hunt or any good wmas down there to hunt? Thanks in advance.

Which part of the state are you planning to come to?

Where ever the best hunting is. The northeast part would be good but I would like to get a shot at a bird too.

I'm in the southern most part of the state. Webb, Hamilton Ridge, and Palatchacola are all good down here. It's swamp hunting. Here's the 2012 regs, the left side has a link to the wma's.

Ok thanks. Are there pretty good populations of turkeys there? Do they get pressured a whole lot?

Hehe, this is South Carolina!! We repopulated the rest of the country with turkeys and still get 5 gobbler tags every spring!! There are a few other public areas near here. PM me if you are going to come to the southern part of the state. Can"t give it all away. Of course week days are going to be the best as far as pressure goes. Monday and Tuesday specifically.
