Monday hunt

Headed out at dawn to a new spot I heard a bird 2 weeks ago close to the car as the rains were on and off. Waited till 7:30 till it stopped and did a 3 mile run and gun on the dirt road and heard nothing. Ran into a road hunter twice and the second time he told me a gobbler crossed the road at my car at 9am , same time I heard him there 2 weeks ago. Heard 2 early shots today. Quit at 10 am soaked with sweat. Road guy says the place was crawling with turkeys during deer season. Out again tuesday.
