I'm just no good at it.

I only hunt public land.

I scout relentlessly during the month of Sept and the first week or so of Oct. I locate fresh sign. The area of greatest sign I hunt.

I make sure to wake up early enough so I am the first hunter into the woods and the birds always disappear.

12 years now of fall turkey hunting and its looking likely that I will go 12 years without even seeing a bird in fall.

Just makes no sense.

I have no friggen clue where they go.
