SEASON HALF TIME

well we are at the 1/2 way mark . i had the good fortune to hunt everyday since youth opener. worked a few birds . messed up several chances . let some walk .
 ENJOYED EVERY MINUTE !!
can't wait till next saturday .

I think I've hunted all but 4 days so far, can't complain.  Called in a fine longbeard for a good friend on the opening moring, went out the second day and called one in for myself.  Both birds put on a show strutting and gobbling.  Called in another longbeard and couple of jakes for a first timer he wasn't sure on the distance so he elected to pass the shot.  Called in a pile of jakes so far and a few stubborn longbeards that continue to evade me by keeping obsticles between my #6's and themselves.  Good luck the rest of the season hopefully them hens will be leavin'em soon.
