They are in the news again. In a news article last week a herd, bunch, flock, what ever they call many hogs were reported in the Peru area of Clinton county. According to the report there are three generations in the area. (50 pounds to 400 pounds) Some have been killed and some trapped, tested to be the Russian type. It was a little unclear as what DEC wanted to do. Talks of a permit and then stated anyone with small game lic. could hunt them. I think the permit related to a permit issued to the owner of a apple orchard. Now ,,,,,how do you hunt them night time, with dogs, bait

i find the rules a little confussing . can we bait them or not. can we shoot them at night or not . i would think the best why to hunt them is to seek out their wollows and set up bait put up a tree stand and wait for them to come in...wayne
