I hear you on the bow week idea, however it's not nearly as easy as you think. Bows are much more proficient, but you still have to beat those eyes. As far as the birds going silent, the birds come in and out of silence. I don't think there is any special week or time they decide to be quiet. I've had birds in some areas go silent, but in the same week, in another area, have heard them gobbling their brains out. Hunting is hunting. I'm not upset about anybody not agreeing, but we have a healthy population of birds that need some thinning, be it a bow week, or an all day season. Just my thoughts.
