A finished Tom Foolery call by Jim McNeil

Postby Tom_Foolery » July 19th, 2009, 2:42 pm

Here is an all cherry call I have just completed. It is my first call since 09/09/03. Some new things that I am trying are; Have added a thin piece of buckskin swuade between the lid and spring. Have also channeled out a line on the inside of soundboards- this is something you will find in vintage calls that you don't see much anymore. I am using a better and more appropriate call screw thanks to Tom L. At least five coats of satin spar urethane, with 0001 steel wool rubs between. It tuned beautifully (to my likes). This call is all turkey. Thanks for looking, Jim McNeil, "Tom Foolery"
Sorry for the large pictures, I do not know how to make them smaller.
