Prototype "Cluck and Purr" Pot Call and a few Strikers

This is the Proto type of my Cluck and Purr Pot and Strikers (Acrylic Strikers go with this Pot). I worked on this over the winter with some input and feedback from several Turkey Calling Contest Callers. This is my own personal call which was made just before our Spring Turkey Season Opener. This Calls was made out of a piece of Grapefruit Wood which has a Gobbler Track Inlaid into the Bottom of the Call Pot. Matched with one of the two Acrylic Strikers shown below this call makes some of the sweetest Clucks and Purrs you have ever heard! There are other "Cluck and Purr" Pots out there. I can't bring myself to use a Plastic one. I prefer the feel, resonanace and sound quality that is produced by a wood call!

Wow! You make some stunning calls! I have to have one! I have been looking for a slate to do some good putts and purrs!

Except I would be afraid to bring them in the woods!

Mike, Thanks for the compliment on the call! I would not be afraid to take these calls in the woods! After all that is what they were made for. If I wouldn't put a call in my Vest and take it hunting I will not let it leave my shop! These calls are very durable and will stand up to some pretty harsh treatment! I have tested the calls I make using Extreme Heat (Microwave and Oven), Extreme Cold (Freezer), Drop Testing etc. etc. to insure that they will stand up to some pretty tough conditions.
