Derby City Game Calls

Postby allaboutshooting » October 22nd, 2009, 2:52 pm

I just received 2 slate calls from this new company that's located in Louisville, Kentucky. The first is a slate/slate in mahogany and the second is slate/glass also in mahogany. The striker is "old growth" maple and is a real beauty.

You can read more about this company at http://derbycitycalls.com/

I have been "playing them" for the last couple of days and am really impressed with the sound, especially when using that striker.

I plan to take them to the woods this weekend for the opening of the fall turkey season here in Southern Illinois. I'll let you know how they work for me.

Thanks,
Clark

Hey Jon,

Thank you. These calls sound really good...even when I play them. I just hope there is at least a little dry weather.

Thanks again,
Clark

I finished by my "Product Test" of these calls and have published a report at http://allaboutshooting.com/article_info.php?articles_id=332&osCsid=c9965762b4dSe9dadf786263454fe686

I hope you find this field report interesting and informative.

The rain has finally quit here so Doris has a day to try and fill her tag.

Thanks,
Clark
