2008 Longbeard

Hello to everone here at Turkey and Turkey Hunting. This is my first post. I thought I would share a picture of of my 2008 Longbeard. I took to Tom on April 25 2008 on a friends farm in North Carolina. It was my second turkey of the season. I was really blessed this year with some really good hunting. Cut N Run I harvest this bird in Clevland County. hoosierhunter there is no fall turkey season in North carolina. But if you are talking about fall deer season. I have been out three or four this year. But it was all in South Carolina. Thanks for the comments. See ya, Mike

Nice Bird NCTurkey, I got a nice 19 pounder after a 30 min hunt in central Va. Call him twice and sit and waited for a close 15 yard shoot.

Good to see you over here, Mike.
Real nice bird, but the thing that really sets if off is the quality of the picture.  I really appreciate it when somebody takes the time to make the turkey look good in a picture.  Yours is the perfect example of how we all should take pictures of our birds....good setting, big smile, and best of all, the bird has all of his feathers in place, no blood showing, good head coloration (the gobbler's...not yours [;)]) and beard placement (although it's easy to show a beard when it's got one like that bird does!). 

If there was a contest for best dead-bird picture, you would win hands down.  Great job, dude!
