These photos were taken in Central Pa in Huntingdon County. We do get some harsh winters here with lots of sleet and freezing rain, snow and ice conditions. So I think his beard was either broken from being frozen or he contacted some type of beard rot.

story as i heard it from your friend mike battey that you hunted this turkey for 3-4 days before mike and then mike came in and shot the bird after you....{must be your calling done gone sour}....maybe it was the color that threw you off .. how have you and mike been friends??

Have y'all ever seen one like this?  My friend took this Osceola last year, and it had white legs.  I emailed a pic of it to Lovett Williams, and he said that he had never seen one like it.

it almost lOOks like the legs are plucked...ive shot birds with ivory spures and toe nails ...and i saw a gob[:)]bler that had white feet and legs (just the scaleley part) but the sprus were black.....i saw a red body white winged turkey this fall in kentucky....guess theres alot of oditys out there[8|]
