Anyone ever see one like this?

I took this photo 2 years ago in the spring of 2007. My buddy and I hunted him the first day of that year, I had a bead on him but couldn't get a good enough shot so I passed and took the one that was with him. He stuck around all that spring season, my buddy hunted him but didn't get him. He stuck around until late summer then disappeared and we never saw him again.
