First turkey ever.

22lbs-10.5" beard-1.25"spurs.
first turkey ever and i took him with a bow at 25yrds.
hunted hard last year and got my butt handed too me.
but said i would take my first with the bow.had a great
opening morning.three toms right in too my set up but no shot.
set up in same spot that afternoon.had the same three come in
this time this tom came in too the decoys.
25yrd shot and one strut buster later.i had my first turkey on the ground.
one of the best days in the woods in a long time.hope too get one more before season is out.good luck everyone.

Hey Steve,

Well, you do know that whatever hope you had of not contracting "the disease" is now gone. Once you get that first one, there's just no hope and no cure.

Seriously, congratulations. Any turkey is a trophy and worth celebrating but the first is always very special.
