2009 Merriams

Postby Bar X Bar » May 14th, 2009, 3:05 pm

Guys- I've been enjoying all of the new pictures!  Keep 'em coming!

We had another great year here in New Mexico, I guided 8 hunters who harvested 13 toms.  Here are a few of my better pictures!  -Ethan

Congratulations on your hunting success.  Those Merriams are really beautiful with the white tipped feathers.

Thanks!  I agree, they are a very pretty bird- and not quite as tight mouthed as others!

Very nice looking birds! Man those Merriams look so great with the lighter tipped feathers than the Easterns we have in Michigan. One of these days I'm gonna have to go after one of those colorful birds! I would really like a Merriams displayed on my wall next to all my Easterns!

I'm with you HoytsnHDs!  Definitely putting that on my to-do list...after I'm done with the honey-do-list from the last 2 months! [;)]

Not sure how I've missed this post. Great shots of beautiful birds.

I'm liking the sound of New Mexico more and more all the time.
