Kiamichi Mountain (southeastern Oklahoma) hunt

Got this Tom opening morning, picture perfect hunt. Could not believe he just walk down the road for 1/8 th of a mile gobblin every 20 feet or so and I watched him the whole time and he came right to me. I took a 35 yard shot and well, He got lead poison. 21 lb ...9 inch beard....1 inch spurs.. Had a fun week long hunt and was on birds every day, sometimes 2 bird in one day, but just could not get a shot an another one. Took my son for youth hunt and he got to hunt the weekend after, but no bird yet. He got close several times. We have till may 6 so we'll keep trying. hope everyone had as good hunt so far.
