Another Rio

Postby DBraman » April 13th, 2010, 5:14 pm

Went out this evening and the wind was blowing 35 at least. I heard them leave the roost this morning and listened for what direction they left in. Set up this evening hoping to catch them coming back to the trees. I had been sitting there for almost two hours when I heard this bird behind me at about 100 yards. I answered softly to the bird and in less then a minute he appeared. I got him at 31 yards. He weighed 18 pounds, had a 10.5 inch beard, and his spurs were 3/4 and 1" long.
