2010 season pics

Postby frzntundra4 » May 25th, 2010, 4:52 am

I had a good year this year, went on a few trips and had good action most every hunt.

This is the first bird I harvested, a 2 year old in Kansas with 2 beards (9.5 and 3.5). I've been fortunate enough to now harvest 4 double bearders (2 Easterns, 1 Merriam's, 1 Rio).

Opps, getting used to how this forum works for posting...here's my other pics:

This was the first WI tom shot the first morning of the 1st season. Hunted all of 14 minutes. Walked right into where the birds were roosted. Had 2 other toms beat the crud out of the tom I downed. 3 year old, 10.5 beard, just over 1 inch spurs, 23lbs.

My next hunt was in another part of WI (near Camp Douglas) during season 3. I got busted by a real nice tom early then later had a group of 3 come sneaking in. Harvested this nice 3 year old, 1 1/4 spurs, 11 in. beard, 22.5 lbs.

Last successful hunt was near Northfield, MN. Was able to ambush this tom. Another bird that's probably a 3 year old, spurs just under 1 1/4, 10.5 beard, did not weigh
