Hooks

I harvested this bird this year, both spurs were 1 1/2" his beards were 10 1/2" main and 8" second weight 20.3oz, after 4 days of hunting thru rain & high winds the 5th day broke sunny and nice.....I was rewarded!.

VERY NICE BIRD  and those hooks are dynamite!  I would dare say a 3 maybe 4 yr old judging by the hooks and double beard--it was worth the wait and struggle in the rain.  Congratulations!!

Thanks guys, here is the pic of my second for the season cool hunt, I had set up knowing birds were in the area and put out some hen decoys and a jake decoy did some soft calling every 20min or so and waited....dozed off for a bit but snapped out of it when I heard some loud purring to my left[:o].I looked to the left and two longbeards were standing 60 yards away[:D].....gun up pointed at jake and here they come running !!!! pecked and flogged decoy for 5min untill they finaly seperated enough for me to shoot picked the bigger of the two and fired !  awsome show at only 5 yards away, great spring.
