Deer season success or failure??

Postby xcal1ber » January 28th, 2012, 2:25 am

Well the Kentucky 2011 deer season is over and I was wondering if you boys got any meat in the freezer? Did you kill that target buck? Any does? Did you eat your buck tag? Or did you completley eat tag soup? Feel free to list the weapon used to take the animal, or a story.

As for me... September 14 I took a big doe for the freezer with my bow.... Also on October 21, I killed a button buck, which was HUGE for a button buck and I mistaked him for a young doe even though I always said I would never do that. Anyways, he makes fine table fare and he actually made good table fare yesterday :D ..... I did eat my buck tag, not because I didnt see bucks, just because The bucks that presented a shot, just wasnt big enough for me (figures..)

So lets here what you all did this past deer season!
There's more fun in hunting with the handicap of the bow than there is in hunting with the sureness of the gun.
