Crappiepro,

I hate to see you hanging out here by yourself, so I thought I should reply.

I agree that our state site does not get a lot of action. That is probably due to the one bird rule. Until our turkey population gets to the point of allowing for multiple birds turkey hunting will most likely take a back seat to deer hunting and fishing.

This is only my second year chasing turkeys and I was lucky enough to get one on day two this season. Once I clean and store my gear I will focus on youth baseball games for my boys and weekly rounds of golf for myself.
Semper Fi,

Joe

Lot of times you don't see a whole lot going on in the state forums unless something big (like a rule change) goes on.  But it is great to introduce yourself to your fellow in-state brethren.

Hey any of you guys dove hunters? Im lookin for a place to hunt doves and some people to hunt them with. I dont know of any good spots here around Vigo, Clay or Parke counties, or any that Ive got permission. Ive got plenty of private farms to hunt deer and turkey and anything else, just dont have the dove fields.

I can't remember what Indiana Game & Fish magazine had an article about which Fish & Wildlife area was great for dove hunting.  But I almost positive that it was in the western side of the state.  I could be wrong though.
