My Kentucky season got started off great this past Saturday. My cousin and I had scouted some birds the past couple of weeks and it paid off. Right off the roost the birds got with there hens and stayed in the corner of a pasture field for about 2 hours. We finally worked our way into about 80 yards of them, and with some soft calling we got the hens to come our way with 3 big strutters in tow. When they got to about 30 yards we were able to double up on two nice birds. I couldn't believe how much the birds were still flocked up. If it hadn't been for the scouting I don't think we would of got them. I got a picture of my bird but my cousin had to feed cattle so we couldn't get a picture together, I will try to get my picture downloaded.
