three for four in Wisconsin

Postby RNC » May 24th, 2008, 2:47 pm

Well my group got to start hunting on May 21. We heard just a little gobbling in the mornings but otherwise the birds weren't that vocal. But on the evening of the 22nd my brother in law got a two year old bird at 12 paces (7" beard and 3/4' spurs, we didnt have a scale to get a wieght) for his first bird ever. Then after a close call on the morning on the 23rd Dad and I doubled ona pair of jakes for our first birds ever. Although our fourth party member didnt tag out everyone had a great time turkey hunting for the first time. Not bad for a bunch of Noobs.

Congratulations RNC sounds like you had a great season. I would like to personally thank the boys in Missouri for loaning us some Birds.

What a great time! It has to be especially nice to be able to share those experiences with those who are so close to you. Congratulations and best of luck in all your future hunts.

Thanks,
Clark

Nothing like your first bird. Sounds like you had a great time and that is what it is all about. Congratulations!
