Names

Does anyone know how/why toms, jakes, jennies, ect actually got those names?
 
I have a week left until the opener, but it doesn't look good.  Early goose has been terrible, the weather has been off,  failled attempts at scouting, and the topper....3rd child due in...a...week!  There's no way I'm going to get a kitchen pass to go hunting!!!!

never have hunted waterfowl. have had rotten weather. never had children of my own , and my wifes sons were nearly grown when we got hitched and started roosting together. I can't imagine the situation you are facing. Maybe you can find an add for a MAIL-ORDER AMISH MIDWIFE to cook, clean, and assist your wife and the new baby until hunting season is over. Now is the GRUNT part of grunt-doc what you do while deer hunting or is it an expression of dissatisfaction?            all in fun          I hope all goes well with wife and baby.          ''ostt''
