Last year labiologist (a guy on another forum) cleaned the bones of a turkey head & neck and made a target out of a picture of it. Well when I saw that pic, I said "I just got to have a turkey head/neck skeleton".

I saved a couple of heads from gobblers that I didn't shoot too close last spring. Then I got some advice from Bamaproud on demeating bones. I let the head sit outside a few months. Boiled them up a bit. Then picked the bones clean while watching the Broncos cream the Jets. And then put it all together on a base I made.

After I got it together it hit me like a brick! What a wonderful centerpiece for one's holiday dinner table. I'm gonna call those guys at that "Sharper Image" catalogue and make a fortune...eh?

Treerooster,....saw your creation on one of the other forums....very cool, really creative, and artfully done.  I haven't seen anything like that before.....and I bet there are a lot of us that have a new project in mind for this spring.  Thanks for sharing it with us.
