I was just curious if any of y'all out there have the same "condition" I have where I'm driving somewhere, anywhere, and my eyes are on every field, pasture, woods, anywhere I think there might be turkeys. My wife is constantly telling me to keep my eyes on the road but I can't help it. What's worse if I see a group of birds I'll stop and glass em to see what they are. I don't know if this is normal or just part of the "sickness".
yep ,,,beardhunter , your hooked yep ,,,Clark, Linda has progressed to the point that every time we are together , she's trying to outdo me ,,,,i seen 'em first,,,i seen 'em first, she loves to rub it in! therefore turkey hunting is a FAMILY THING .
For the past 20+ years we've had a game of seeing who can spot the most hawks along side the Interstate when we travel. They really like those areas, for all the mice, etc. that seem to live there.
A few years ago, it became turkeys in addition to hawks. Doris has a very good eye and I must really be on top of my game to spot either before she does.
It does make some long road trips a lot more fun however.
Thanks,
Clark

I am shocked that I haven't had my license taken away! I bobble head to the extreme. Between looking for turkey in every field I pass, I'm also looking for deer, woodchucks, ducks, geese, duck blinds, ect in every farm, yard, pond, river, lake.... I can only really afford maybe 2% of my concentration on actual driving [:D].
Good news for me, my wife gets super motion sick (and she married a SAILOR?!?!?!?), so when we're both in the car, she drives. Green light for road-scouting!
Now thats the way to do it Doc! I need to get my wife to drive more often. I'm takin a trip back home to IN at the end of the month and can't wait to check out the roadside wildlife in Iowa and Illinois.
often i'll call home from work just to chat with miss goodlookin'and she will always ,at some point , ask if i saw anything . so i always tell her what i saw and she says,,,YEAH RIGHT,,,YOU DID NOT. she'll even call me to rub it in my face while i'm workin' ,,,,,seen turkey birds! she really likes to do that one during season. what can i say ,,,SHE'S SASSY!!!
