seems like i read that in a prevous post on this site , i think it had something to do with dryin' out a wet slate call & methods of drying wich in turn was supposed to make your call sound better

Try alcohol preps then use scotch brite.  The alcohol really cleans any impurities from the surface.
Why be good when you can B-Mobile or Spin & Strut.

I tried this last season as per your advice. Works GREAT! Thank you. Works on wooden strikers too.
