Black hills archery turkey

Postby Dangler » January 28th, 2009, 7:33 am

I am a new user to this forum. My question is, can i use a bow and arrow to hunt turkeys in the Black Hills, with a
non-resident turkey tag. I would be purchasing a Black Hills non-resident spring turkey tag. I did talk to the Game and Fish
department and did not get that warm fuzzy feeling about the answer i received. Also is it legal to have a firearm and bow
in my blind at the same time. The Game and Fish department told me that it was legal to have both weapons in my possesion.
They also told me that I did not need an advanced bowhunter education certificate unless I applied for the Archery Only
Spring turkey tag. Any help that anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

You may have all ready read this but here is a copy of South Dakota's spring turkey hunting rules and reg's.
